It has won great accolades from PlayStation fans all over the world. Even the critics have had a good word this time.

Modnation Racers PS3 can be played by either a single player or by up to 4 players offline. However if one wants to play online, it allows up to 2 local players and 12 online players to play. With the PSP using wireless ad-hoc networks, up to 6 players can enjoy the game offline or online. The game is available on a Blue-ray disc as is the tradition in all PS3 games. There is a lot of online downloadable content available from tracks and terrains to entire race designs.

This game has a unique story line with vivid imagination. The scenes are well designed. The content in terms of challenges to the players, the changes in the scenes, the unwinding of tracks, the reading aspects of the game and the score keeping methods are all highly creative. It gives a new dimension to racing games.

The main lobby of the game is MOdSpot. It allows several creations and customization. The game lets players customize the characters and paint the flat terrain from the beginning till the end of the race. There are many options such as lakes, mountains, surface deformations, houses, pickup items, animals, trees and day and night time settings to choose from. One can plant trees, spray paints and bring in some cows. Obstacles and deviations can also be created. This game will remind you of the "LittleBigPlanet" game which was considered a breakthrough in creativity.
