Mario Kart on Nintendo is one of the most played games of all time. The legacy of Mario Karts spans way back (15yrs) to the first generation of Nintendo consoles. The makers have always managed to add something special to the game play with every new generation. The Nintendo DS Mario Kart made multiplayer possible via Nintendo WFC, so you can be sure you’ll always have someone worse to beat. Mario Kart Wii pits 12-players for online multiplayer racing.

To complement the game, a new Wii Channel (the "Mario Kart Channel") will also be launched which will have competitions and challenges. Players will be able to monitor their ranking from races completed online as well as share Ghost Data to download and play offline challenges.

April 11 2008 will see the release across Europe. The game pack comes in two version, the better of the two includes a free genuine Nintendo steering wheel! The game recognises who is using a Steering Wheel and extra bonuses reward and a gold wheel show alongside your profile. The game is tipped to become one of top titles of the year.
