Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare Xbox 360 / PS3

Release Date: 26/11/2010

Red Dead Redemption - Undead Nightmare was developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. When former outlaw John Marston wakes up at his farmhouse, he finds a World gone insane overnight: Red Dead Redemption has captured the essence of Wild West that no other game has. It is a sublime experience for players who identify themselves to riding with the faithful steed across the vast expanses of the Southern countryside. This online DLC is widely hailed as superb value for money, entertaining and intense gameplay, and a hit presentation. This gameplay has an Undead Overrun Game mode that is an uncomplicated survival scenario. It pits four players against a wave of zombie enemies. Here lies its originality.

The zombie has received a facelift and plays out in a familiar way. The tasks are the same as in Red Dead Redemption, but new in Undead Nightmare. You look for lost family members and check out graveyards instead of hunting for deserters at gang hideouts. It is exciting with five new challenges to conquer with an enticing new storyline of how the dead rose from the graves. Undead Nightmare is set in the same rambling setting of thinly scattered little towns as the main Red Dead game. Undead Nightmare is a meaty, supernatural expansion to the comparatively solemn original adventure.

Undead Nightmare is exactly what a downloadable content should be. It is worth the money you pay with something original to boot. You have two multiplayer modes, side missions, weapons, and most importantly, it is a 6-hour single player campaign. The infected world is stylistically different to provide a feel of uniqueness. Moreover, Undead Nightmare has humor and its flamboyance and the opportunity to reacquaint with Marston's circle of friends is something that makes it exceptional. Zombies add a new dimension to the world and the familiar world of Red dead Redemption adds something to a zombie experience from the storyline viewpoint.

Undead Nightmare is a standalone game that does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to be played.
