Sin and Punishment 2: Successor of the Skies Review

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor Wii is the on-the-rails shooting game sequel to Sin & Punishment (Nintendo 64). It was released in Japan in 2009 and is set to be released summer 2010 for Europe and North America. It also is compatible with Nintedo Wi-Fi connections.

The gameplay allows the option for four different control options: Wii controller and Nunchuck, Wii zapper, Classic controller, and Nintendo Gamecube controller. The player is able to control either Isa or Kachi and travels through the various levels. Attacks can be long ranged or melee, and both characters possess the ability to fly. Successive hits without being dealt damage increases the score multiplier, as does knocking away enemy missiles and other such feats.

Levels are vast and all encompassing, and usually possess one or two mini-bosses before the player encounters the final boss. It also comes with a two-player mode, though it's not as well developed as the single-player mode. The beautiful graphics make it a visual smorgasbord and accentuates the simple "shoot-em-up" concept of the game.

With fun controls and intricate levels, Sin & Punishment: Star Successor makes an excellent addition to Wii's exclusive shooter repertoire. – by Lauren
